How Bikepackia compares.
Bikepackia is a route planner for multi-day bikepacking trips. It turns a plain-language brief into a real OpenStreetMap route — split into rideable days, with water, food and sleep stops pinned and GPX export. Here's how that stacks up against Komoot, RideWithGPS, Strava and planning it yourself.
We've tried to keep this fair — including the rows where each tool clearly beats us.

When another tool is the better pick.
If your priority is turn-by-turn navigation with downloadable offline maps in the field, Komoot is excellent — that's the part Bikepackia hands off to your device.
For meticulous, hand-built routes and cue-sheet control on big organised tours, RideWithGPS is hard to beat.
If you want the social feed, segments and training analytics wrapped around your rides, Strava owns that — Bikepackia is a planner, not a feed.
ChatGPT is great for brainstorming routes and gear talk. But it can't draw a rideable line — ask it for a GPX and you get invented coordinates. Bikepackia plans like that, then routes for real.
