Credits and pricing

Bikepackia charges only for AI. Planning on the map, routing, stages, stops and GPX export are free. Mec, the AI route partner, spends credits on each reply. Every new account gets €2 of credit when it first signs in. Credit is shown in euros.

Free

• Building and editing routes on the map.
• Splitting into day stages, map layers and searching for stops.
• Importing and exporting GPX.
• Saving and sharing routes (with a free account).
• The titles and summaries Bikepackia writes for your chats with Mec.

Spends credit

• Mec's replies. The cost depends on how much work a reply takes: a short answer costs less than planning a whole multi-day trip.

Credit packs

Credit is sold at face value: you pay €9 and get €9 of credit. Buy a pack on the billing page: you pay through Stripe checkout and the credit is added to your wallet as soon as the payment goes through.

Expiry and refunds

• Credit you buy never expires.
• The €2 welcome credit never expires either, but it's a free promotional grant: it can't be refunded, exchanged for money or moved to another account.
• Credit belongs to your account and can't be transferred to anyone else.
• There's no self-service refund. You can ask for a refund of the unused credit you bought by emailing contact@bikepackia.com — for example when you delete your account, if the service shuts down, or if we raise the rate for credit you've already bought and you don't accept it. We give at least 30 days' notice of any such increase.
• When a refund is issued, the refunded credit comes out of your wallet: a full refund removes the whole pack, a partial refund removes that share of it. This applies even if you've already spent the credit, so your balance can drop below zero — until you top up, Mec is unavailable, but planning by hand stays free.
